N° 4 – Sentiero di Sant’Anna - Visit La Morra

Distance: 7 km
Duration: 2 hours

The trail starts from the Tourist Office. Continue along Via Vittorio Emanuele; after the roundabout and the sports field, turn left onto a dirt road. The view opens up magnificently over the Tanaro Valley and the town of Cherasco, with the Alps and Monviso rising in the background.

After crossing the provincial road, the path continues through hazelnut groves and cultivated fields until reaching the Mascarelli hamlet. Walk about 50 meters along the main road, then turn right onto a dirt track among the hazelnut trees, leading to the country chapel of Sant’Anna, which offers a wide panoramic view over the vineyards.

After about 150 meters, turn left and descend along a farm track through the vineyards toward Sant’Anna. After passing the winery, continue to the main road, turn right, and follow the paved section for about 300 meters. Turn left again onto a dirt path through a lush hazelnut grove, following a small country road lined with orchards and vines.

After roughly 300 meters, follow the signs to enter a farm track on the left; continue for another 250 meters, then turn left again onto a small paved road. Pass through Borgata Brandini, continuing alongside the vineyards with views of La Morra to the right and the Roero villages—Pocapaglia, Santa Vittoria, and Monticello—to the left. On clear days, the Mont Blanc massif can even be seen in the distance.

After about 900 meters, turn right onto a country road that descends into the small valley of the Rio dei Brandini. Cross the stream, then climb left along rows of bamboo, through a small wooded area and a farm track, until you reach the Chapel of Santa Lucia. Turn right onto Via Richieri and continue toward the village center.
